Fiona recently joined Evolution Mining in January 2020 as the General Manager of Sustainability. Fiona is responsible for the Sustainability portfolio that reflects Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Social Responsibility and Community. The role reports directly to the Jake Klein – Executive Chairman.
Her career has focused on working within high-risk operations, including the Oil & Gas, Mining and Chemicals Industries, leading transformations for organisations such as Shell, DuPont, Viva Energy and Ausgrid.
She is passionate about leading healthy and safe work practices and environments for workers and the communities in which they operate. Fiona has a personal ambition to help people go home better from work than how they arrived, and to provide community benefits that endure beyond the life of operations. Having experienced a work place fatality in her family, her role is also a deeply personal one.
Fiona’s operational experience is supported by a comprehensive academic background which includes a Masters in Risk & Technology (Swinburne University), Leadership Management (Melbourne Business School), Organisational Coach (IECL), Bachelor of Business (Economics/Marketing/Law) and Certifications in WHS, Auditing, Training & Assessment, Six Sigma, Incident Investigation and Change & Transformation. She is also a published author in the areas of operational risk, contractor management and leadership.
