Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport program and the largest urban railway infrastructure investment in the nation’s history.
Sydney Metro are currently working through a period of huge growth.

In May last year, Sydney Metro started turn-upand-go passenger services in the North West, from Tallawong to Chatswood. As at the end of January, Sydney Metro have carried more than
16m passenger journeys, with a customer satisfaction rating of 95%.

They are working on the delivery of Sydney Metro City & Southwest and also getting on with Metro West and working with the Federal Government on the development of Sydney Metro Greater West Sydney Metro West will deliver 24 kilometres of twin tunnels between Westmead and the Sydney CBD – more than doubling the existing rail capacity in this corridor and reducing travel
times to a target of around 20 minutes. New metro stations have been confirmed at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock and The
Bays Precinct.

The NSW Government is assessing potential stations at Rydalmere and Pyrmont, with further planning underway to determine the location of a new metro station in the Sydney CBD.
Sydney Metro Greater West is the new railway line which will service Greater Western Sydney and the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport. Key stations will be built at the airport, Western Sydney Aerotropolis, and St Marys – where customers can connect with the rest of Sydney’s rail system.
Fully-automated trains provide fast, frequent services – customers won’t need a timetable, they’ll just turn up and go.
