CEO and Founder | Next World Enterprises
Michael is passionate about innovation, safety and business. The first 15 years of his career, focused on HSE, HR and L&D roles within the heavy industry spaces of oil and gas. Michael led teams here in Australia and in North Africa and Asia before returning to home to start his first business – Harness Group, a specialist RTO and Labour Supply business.
Michael saw that in order to make significant and material changes in safety performance on the learning side, that evolution away from conventional modes needed to occur. This is why he started Chorck and then Next World. These businesses combined have created a unique learning and safety ecosystem that combine the power of technology, innovation, software and cognitive neuroscience of learning, to create new value in the field of safety.
Virtual Reality (VR) in particular is of immense interest to Michael and is the central focus of his new venture – Next World, a Virtual Reality software development business that allows medium to large size businesses in the medium to high risk space, the opportunity to advance their learning models with the most potent and powerful learning technology available – VR. The recent convergence in hardware and software in this space has led to an amazing timing opportunity for VR to replace ineffective learning methods such as eLearning and face to face with what will become the norm very shortly. Throw in COVID and the need for remote learning models and a perfect opportunity is now in play to support this move.
Next World is well endorsed through its recent acknowledgements with their Finalist position at QODE 2020 and their recognition in the Ignite Funding rounds with Advance Qld.
