Suzanne Philpot is a Clinical Nurse on the Orthopaedic Ward at SJG Murdoch.

Suzanne is a HSR with her hospital ward, as well as a manual handling trainer. She is consistently involved in ensuring the safety of caregivers across the hospital. She has been a valued member of the OHS Committee since 2015 and has played a vital role in planning and implementing effective safety initiatives.

Suzanne drove an initiative to provide patients with leg lifters to assist with rehabilitation goals and reduce manual handling for caregivers.

Rehab patients at St Francis now receive leg lifters to assist with independence and improve compliance with MySafe procedures, this has significantly improved an at-risk task through Suzanne’s efforts.
